// Check out the first episode of our new online poetry show, featuring poets from different countries //
Greetings fam. Welcome to the first episode of our online poetry show. In this episode we feature poets from South Africa, Zimbabwe, England and Malawi, and we provide a brief introduction to the www.theradioactiveblog.com . Don't forget to leave a comment, let us know which poem was your favorite, and feel free to share the podcast with other poetry lovers. We also have an event segment where we update you on some of the poetry related events happening in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Look out for the next episode which will be published on the 28th of February 2020.
Last year we had started the Radioactive Poetry Sessions (on Facebook Live), which had the same objectives as the Poetry podcast, however, we were not able to continue with it due to reasons that were beyond our control. So, we decided to wait to launch the podcast this year because it's something that we have more control over. On this note, we will be featuring some of the poems that we featured on the Facebook Live sessions that we hosted last year, so that everyone still gets a chance to hear the poems that we initially shared. We're excited to finally have the podcast up and running, and for the next episodes, we will be having a local guest poets on the show. This is going to a bimonthly show, and we'll be publishing an episode on the 1st and last Friday of each month. One of the things we really like about this podcast is that you have the option to either listen to it online, or actually download the podcast and listen to it at your own time. We got a lot of dope poetry that we can't wait to share with you, so don't forget to subscribe to our podcast and website so that you never miss an episode. Make sure you also follow the poets that featured in this episode, so that you're constantly updated with their moves: Afro Poetic Mind, Puno Selesho, Mandla Gqada, Rachel Makaranga, Phindu Zaie Banda, and Xabiso Vili.
