Silent Book Club Harare is around the corner

We are set to host the first Silent Book Club chapter in Zimbabwe, bringing a unique reading community experience to Harare. Scheduled for March 15, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at The Garden, 15 York Avenue (Newlands), this event introduces a global reading concept to the city.
A New Reading Community Experience
Silent Book Club offers a unique approach to reading, where participants gather in a relaxed setting to read independently, creating a sense of shared literary connection. Unlike traditional book clubs, SBC embraces diversity in reading materials—members are welcome to bring any book, whether it's an e-book, audiobook, fiction, non-fiction, or poetry.
We aim to be a catalyst in contributing to the growth of Zimbabwe's reading culture, and we're really excited that this is our first project which marks our operational expansion into Zimbabwe. This volunteer-driven initiative creates an opportunity for readers to connect in a unique, inclusive way.
About the Global Silent Book Club
Silent Book Club ® is a global community of readers, with more than 1500 chapters in 54 countries around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather in public at bars, cafes, bookstores, libraries, and online to read together in quiet camaraderie.
