Where solitude meets community, and books become icebreakers
Silent Book Club Harare is Zimbabwe's fastest-growing in-person reading community that meets in person once a month, launched in March 2025. We've grown to over 500 Facebook members, 600 WhatsApp Community members & over 800 registered members with strong event attendance, including our largest gathering of 130 attendees at a single meetup. Our unique format brings readers together to read independently in shared silence, creating a powerful blend of individual focus and community connection in different venues in Harare. For the first time, we'll be hosting a meetup on a Sunday (5th of April), as we explore the possibilities of having 2 meetups each month.
