Where solitude meets community, and books become icebreakers
Silent Book Club Harare is Zimbabwe's fastest-growing reading community, launched in March 2025. We've grown to over 300 Facebook members & 300 WhatsApp Community members with strong event attendance, including our largest gathering of 90 attendees at a single meetup in 2025. Our unique format brings readers together to read independently in shared silence, creating a powerful blend of individual focus and community connection in different venues in Harare.
The Radioactive Blog proudly presents our 10th Silent Book Club event in Harare, hosted by Thuthukani Ndlovu (TK) and will take place at Alliance Française de Harare - as part of the Harare International Literature Festival (Litfest Harare 2025). We will continue to partner with Journalism Students Network of Zimbabwe, and look forward to seeing you soon. We will also be having an Art exhibition, book exchange and literature-based stalls during this event.
